Chime for Parents: A 6-week workshop designed for parents (of 1-12 year olds) who want to reduce stress and increase joy, creativity, and self-awareness in the parenting of your children through a fun and entertaining curriculum of thousand year old Buddhist concepts brought to life through storytelling and interactive thought experiments for this contemporary fast-paced parenting life in which many of us find ourselves
As a first time mom, I was looking for support through this new transitional time. A lot of the groups I found were more focused on the baby and what I’d call the logistical aspects of parenting. Then I found Ashby’s group and it was exactly what I was searching for - focusing on the mom and providing the mindfulness and introspection tools to navigate the emotional part of becoming a parent. I will forever be grateful for this experience and the warm and loving environment she facilitated. On top of that, Ashby is genuinely a joy to be around and great company. Highly recommend and would do it again in a heartbeat
Ashby's postpartum chime group was critical to me getting through some challenging, hard, new parent feelings and emotions. Meeting in a cozy room (with snacks! and BABIES!) and being able to openly share and listen felt both welcoming and safe. I trusted Ashby's knowledge of mindfulness, mental health AND relatability as we talked through which was uniquely going on with all of us weekly. The tools that she teaches are easy to remember, to practice, to use, and I'm finding they help in many facets of my life beyond mothering. Her group was such an added and wonderful way to add support for my postpartum time that I'm able to carry forward with me.
Ashby's Chime workshop is a unique and extremely supportive offering! Through her group, I found friendships that will last as well as strategies that I have been able to use long after the group ended. I highly recommend any of Ashby's groups for new or seasoned parents!
Signing up for Ashby’s Chime group was the best thing I did for myself postpartum. The community we created as a group quickly became essential. And though I wasn’t totally convinced the mindfulness piece was going to be my thing (it had never really resonated with me in the past), Ashby’s funny and heartfelt anecdotes made the mindfulness tools she offered very approachable and genuinely helpful! I looked forward to our meetings all week, every week. Sign up and thank yourself later :)
I recently did the Chime for Parents workshop with Ashby and it was really helpful! I did the virtual version, which made it manageable for me in terms of convenience ( just an hour over zoom once a week during lunch) and Ashby did a good job of helping us connect through a virtual space. I was skeptical of the group setting but it ended up feeling very validating to hear other parents going through very similar things and to be reminded that sometimes, things are just hard! And that doesn't mean we're doing anything wrong.
The tools Ashby shared are grounded in pateince and compassion for our kids and ourselves. I didn't magically become a different kind of parent in 6 weeks, but I think that these tools, with practice and patience, will help me move toward the kind of relationship I want to have with my kids.
With a 75 minute group call each week plus a 30 minute 1:1, I felt like this was a really good investment of time and money for our family. Thank you Ashby!
I recently completed the Chime for Parents workshop, and I highly recommend it.
It is led by Ashby who is an incredible storyteller, super funny, and so REAL. Every story she shared resonated with what I was going through with trying to manage my kids.
I also loved how Ashby structured the course. Each week, we received concrete tools to practice, and she would check in by text to remind us to use them throughout the day. This practical, hands-on approach made it much easier to integrate what we were learning into our busy lives.
One of my favorite aspects of the workshop was getting to know the other parents. It was great to hear people’s experiences with their parenting struggles, that were both similar and different from my own.
Also, it was so nice to have a space to just take a break from life (and kids), relax, and enjoy some yummy snacks with a an awesome group of folks.
If you're looking for a supportive, fun, and transformative parenting workshop, I highly recommend Chime for Parents.
