CALAFIA Home Design is a full-service interior design studio based in Berkeley founded by Elizabeth Sims. After working as an MFA-educated artist in the contemporary art world for over a decade, Elizabeth began taking on interior design projects to indulge her passion for the west coast’s rich design heritage. In 2015 she founded CALAFIA Home Design in order to celebrate a distinctly Californian lifestyle.

We create beautiful, functional spaces with artfully selected finishes, furniture, and custom pieces. We welcome projects large and small, including:
