Usually, the student has had a bad experience with these subjects, such as a lousy teacher who embarrassed them in front of the class. The student then DECIDES they are "bad at math." Our specialty is re-writing the narrative into a story of confidence and a "can-do" attitude. We do this through compassion, really remembering what it's like to struggle in these classes.
