I've been going to Dr. Michael Fields in SF at 450 Sutter for 5 years. 415-986-5886. He's very kind, thorough and will always pester you nicely to floss every day. He does all the dental hygiene work himself, so he gets a good look at your teeth. As with any dentist, be sure to ask for all the options when it comes to getting fillings (silver vs. composite) as your insurance will likely cover one not the other. Some fillings are more discreet than others, but there's cost a associated. Nancy D
