Looking for a place to have two very old chair seats re-caned. Would like an excellent job without museum prices. Possible? Thanks! Linda
THE place for caning is The Caning Shop, 926 Gilman, Berkeley, 527 5010. They're completely knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and the store is interesting, too. Linda
Some friends had their 40 year old chairs re-caned at the Caning Shop on Gilman. They are now beautiful!!

Whenever I go to the Caning Shop in Berkeley, I see chairs there either waiting for re-caning or waiting to be picked up after having been re-caned.
