Sensory issues for teens?!?

I know it's common for little kids to have issues with seams, tags, clothes. But, I was wondering if there are families who have seen these issues continue into teen years that cause significant issues with getting ready for school.

Kids grow constantly, which means I need to buy larger clothes and shoes constantly. And, it's causing a lot of distress. I gave up taking my kid to the stores because it was such an ordeal and we rarely ever walked out with items that worked. Now, I get items online and have the kid try them on. But, my living room is starting to look like an Amazon warehouse. I'm a bit exasperated after the recent ordeal when the kid rejected all 8 pairs of shoes. Kid only likes one type of shoes but they aren't approved for gym classes.

After many trials and errors, we have found one brand of underwear and socks that the kid likes, one specific style of pants from one brand, so I've gone ahead and ordered many sizes for before they disappear.

Kid has always had sensory issues and is ADHD, but I thought as they get older, things will improve. They have improved. Kid refused to wear socks for years, and now they wear socks. But rejection of shoes is one I don't know how to deal with. School requires gym shoes. I have tried New Balance, Nike, Sketchers, Brooks, Orthofeet, Hoka, and all major brands. A serious question -- are there places that make custom shoes for sports?

Hope to hear from others who may have experience with older kids refusing to wear clothes/shoes.
