seeking great vet for rescue dog

Hi all, I’m looking for a great vet for a small rescue dog who came to his new home with some ongoing medical issues. Seeking someone knowledgeable and thorough, with great communication skills (ideally both the vet themself and their staff would have these qualities) and a proactive approach to care.
