Post-op skilled nursing facility that works with Kaiser?

My elderly mother is expected to have surgery at Kaiser that will likely require a recovery period in a skilled nursing facility.  Has anyone has a particularly good (or particularly bad) experience with a Kaiser-contracted SNF (and if so, how recently)?  I'd like to be able to assess (and possibly visit) the options BEFORE the surgery, not in a rush on discharge-day.  (Also interested in hearing about self-pay options if necessary to get okay care -- unfortunately the excellent Chaparral House in Berkeley no longer accepts self-pay -- but obviously Kaiser-contracted is preferred.)
