Looking for conservation job for 17 taking gap year

Hi folks

My 17 year old graduates this spring and would really like to California Conservation Corps but is too young. He did Pcrew over the summer (5 week wilderness job program, very rustic) and loved it. We’re having trouble finding something that fits the brief for his age group.

We don’t want  foreign travel you pay them arrangement, and we keep finding only short term summer programs. Ideally I’d like him to start when we start school so I can have sometime with him.
