Experience of AIMS High School

Hello,

My 10th grade foster youth got accepted to AIMS High School and is considering whether she would like to transfer there from Oakland International High School.  While she is looking for a more rigorous academic experience, she has some concerns that AIMS might be too academically challenging.  She moved to the US about 1.5 years ago as a non English speaker.  Her English has been progressing but of course her English language skills are still developing.

If you have youth at this school, what have your youth's experiences been like?  What are your impressions of the school?
