English Phonetics Tutor for Kindergartener

We are seeking an English tutor for my 5-year-old to improve his English reading skills, preferably in person, in Berkeley/Oakland/Alameda area for 2-3 times/week. We are planning to move our kid from a public kindergarten to a private school's 1st grade next year. We are told by the private school that he needs to be able to read simple books and write simple sentences. Unfortunately his current school will not be able to prepare him to meet that standards. We focus exclusively on another non-phonetic language at home, so would prefer someone else to teach him English. Do you know someone you like? Thank you!
