We are excited to announce multiple new classes and groups for preschool, school age, parents, family members and childcare providers! Classes and Groups take place in our Albany office on Solano Ave or Online as indicated.  

CLASSES WITH UPCOMING SESSIONS:

For Kids:

Using the evidence-based social-emotional curriculum, Merrell's Strong Start as a framework, this 6-session class which incorporates active learning and play.  Help your school-age child with making friends or managing their emotions in the 2025 late spring session of our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) group. We learn about labeling, expressing and calming big emotions as well as making friends and understanding their feelings: core skills that can help children have a better experience in school. 6 Monday Afternoons, starting April 23rd. 

This class uses the same structure and framework to the Preschool group but is designed for school age kids. Uses a curriculum including fun activities and projects that appeal to kids in the early grades such as origami, board games, comic strips, and more! 6 Monday afternoons, starting April 22nd. 

For Adults:

  •  Bringing Baby Home Workshop

    An online relationship workshop for the transition to parenthood. Whether you are considering parenthood, awaiting your baby's arrival, or currently parenting a baby or toddler (0-3), this workshop is for all couples hoping to prepare their relationship for a growing family! 4 Sunday afternoons (start date flexible).

  •  Strong Families Support Group 

    A group for caregivers (parents, care providers and family members) who are challenged by their child's behavior or needs. Provide and receive the support of other caregivers in a warm and welcoming setting with an experienced facilitator.  Monthly on the 1st Monday at 12 noon. 

  • Supporting Healthy Development: For Contra Costa County Care Providers

In partnership with First 5 Contra Costa, the CECC is proud to offer free online training for home-based Contra Costa County childcare providers! You will learn about how to spot early signs of developmental delays, talk with parents about concerns, and connect families to screening resources. Second Tuesdays in April, May and June (times variable).

About the CECC:

The Center for Early Childhood Connections is a 501c3 non-profit organization which provides relationship focused, culturally attuned, and collaborative educational, mental health and wellness supports starting from pregnancy through age eight, for young children and those who care for them. 

We provide a variety of services for children, care providers and families in the community including child therapy, support groups, trauma support, school inclusion support, professional development, parent coaching and therapy and more!
