Broadway Children's School of Oakland: Play-based Toddler and Preschool Program Open House

Bring the family to 394 Adams Street between 10:30 and 12:30 to check out one of Oakland's oldest and most reputable early childhood education programs!

For over 70 years, Broadway has combined child-centered learning with parent enrichment, cultivating a committed community that offers families a bedrock of support, knowledge-sharing and friendship. We offer flexible schedules for preschoolers, a toddler-parent program, varied activities that support all domains of development, and ample time to play outdoors in our large, shaded school yard.

We have only a couple of Monday/Wednesday/Friday spaces remaining for 2025-26 for our preschool program for children ages 3 to 5 years old, which meets from 8:45 to noon, with optional extended care available until 3:30 pm. 

We have openings for our 2025-26 toddler and caregiver program called "PACT," for children who are 2 or turning 2 by the end of 2025, which meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:30. PACT includes indoor and outdoor playtime, art, music, stories, and a parent discussion group during the Thursday class time each week.
