GirlVentures: Summer Courses Open for Registration

GirlVentures combines outdoor adventure with social emotional learning for adolescent youth at a critical time in their lives.

All Courses are for Girls and Gender Expansive Youth (cis girls, trans youth, non-binary youth, gender non-conforming youth, gender queer youth as well as any girl-identified youth).

All necessary gear and equipment, food, and transportation from the GirlVentures office in Oakland is provided. 

All courses are offered on a sliding scale, we do not want finances to be a barrier for participation.

Redwood Adventure - June 16 - June 22, 2025

An adventure for youth entering 6th or 7th grade. 

Project Courage-July 10-19, 2025

A kayak and backpacking expedition for youth entering 7th or 8th grade. 

Transitions- July 27 - Aug 9, 2025

A backpacking and climbing expedition for youth entering 9th grade. 

On The Rise- July 27 - Aug 9, 2025

A leadership course for youth entering 10th, 11th & 12th grade. 

Fierce and Fabulous-(affinity course)- June 18-24, 2025

Fierce & Fabulous is a summer affinity course designed specifically for youth who are Queer identified and their allies entering 9th-12th grade.

Rising Together- (affinity course)- July 5-11, 2025

Rising Together is a summer affinity course designed specifically for youth of color entering 9th-12th grade.
