Support Group for Mothers: New Moms Support Groups Starting Soon!
Have a new baby?
Want to make connections and have community with other new moms & babies?
Support Group For Mothers has new support groups starting soon!
Groups for First Time Moms
Groups for Second & Third Time Moms
New groups starting:
April 8th
May 7th
June 3rd
Six week groups meet twice a week
Once for a facilitated conversation
Once for an activity or outing
Groups continue to meet after the first six weeks for as long as there is interest - most groups stay together for years once they begin!
We plan for the groups meeting on their own to make this transition a smooth one
We meet in a convenient and comfortable Emeryville location - the home of East Bay Lactation Associates & Loving Arms Birth and Parenting
Easy, free street parking and near public transport
We focus on topics important to new moms:
Sharing how your family was created by sharing birth, adoption or surrogacy stories; relationships, communication & sharing parenting responsibilities; returning rto work - or not, finding childcare, others caring for your baby; practical concerns like: sleep, feeding, comforting, encouraging development, establishing routines; local resources, identity, and much more...
I share resources after each discussion to provide further opportunity for support and information

You can read feedback from moms who have done these groups on Berkeley Parents Network & Google business
Groups are facilitated by:
Jennifer Subasic-Marks
I have been providing education and support to expectant and new families in the East Bay for more than 30 years working at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley & facilitating groups in the community
I am passionate about helping moms connect and grow community to have support on their parenting journey
I did this group myself with my first baby and it was the best thing I did for myself as a new mom, so I want to provide the opportunity for other mothers to have this support too
These are the longest running support groups for mothers in the Bay Area
We need each other as mothers and having an opportunity for both immediate and longer term support and connection is essential
I hope to see you and your little one in a group soon!
Jennifer
