2’s program at the Berkeley School

We’ve had an absolutely wonderful experience with The Berkeley School’s 2-year-old preschool program! From day one, the teachers and staff have been incredibly warm, attentive, and nurturing, creating an environment where little ones feel safe and excited to learn. The play-based curriculum is thoughtfully designed to encourage curiosity, social-emotional growth, and independence, all while making each day fun and engaging. We have sent 2 children through TBS and can’t say enough good things about both the 2s program (Caterpillars) and the mixed age classes. Every single teacher at TBS has exceeded my expectations to a degree I truly didn’t expect.

One thing that really stands out is the school’s emphasis on community and communication. The teachers provide regular updates and truly partner with parents, which has made us feel so connected to our child’s early learning journey. The outdoor space is fantastic, giving kids plenty of opportunities to explore and develop gross motor skills in a natural setting. They have thoughtfully planned days filled with joy and learning. So much exposure to all the facets of a well rounded education for this age group.

We’ve seen so much growth in both of our children—both socially and developmentally—since starting at TBS, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. If you’re looking for a nurturing, thoughtful, and enriching early childhood program, I highly recommend The Berkeley School!
