Fertile Ground Parenting: Hand in Hand Parenting Foundations Course starts 3/18!
Hand in Hand Parenting Foundations Course for Parents + Caregivers
8 Tuesdays: March 18-May 13, 2025 (skipping April 22)
12:00-1:30pm Pacific
On Zoom
I warmly welcome you to join me for 8 weeks of transformational learning and support for your parenting.
In this Hand in Hand Parenting Foundations class, we’ll explore the 5 Hand in Hand Parenting Listening Tools, which are designed to help you learn how to work with your children when things get hard—as well as how to get regular support for yourself. For over 30 years, Hand in Hand has been supporting parents with evidence-based, trauma-informed tools. Our fresh approach to meeting the hard moments in parenting is effective and rooted in connection.
In addition to learning and practicing the tools, this class will also give you a chance to experience the power of our parent-to-parent listening tool, called Listening Partnerships. The group is intentionally kept small (no more than six parents) to ensure that each parent has time to receive support with their specific challenges.
This class is perfect for parents of children ages 1-10. There’s no prerequisite—please join us wherever you are on your parenting journey.
We will meet on Zoom for 8 Tuesdays starting March 18 and ending May 13 (skipping April 22).
What you’ll receive:
- Eight online classes to learn the 5 Hand in Hand tools and practice them with a small group of caring parents
- Lifetime access to an online classroom with videos and materials to support your learning
- The chance to learn in community with other parents on this journey with you
- The opportunity to ask questions, be listened to, and receive support around your personal challenges and hopes for your children and your family
By the end of the class, you will:
- Better understand what drives your child’s off-track behavior
- Know how to be truly helpful when big feelings and tantrums come to call
- Learn how to set effective, loving limits without resorting to bribes or threats
- Have tools for meeting the hard moments with more patience, respect, and confidence
- See how a certain kind of play can help you deepen your connection with your children AND help them get back on track
- Know how to approach your child’s struggles with things like bedtime, separations, aggressive behavior, and more
- Have a transformational way to work with your own feelings, hurts, and desires as a parent
About the Facilitator
My name is Caroline Griswold, and I'm a parenting educator and coach. I'm a certified Hand in Hand Parenting instructor and also trained in Magda Gerber's Educaring Approach (RIE). I am a mom of one son, who is now 11. I am 100% certain that I would not have the open, warm, and playful relationship with my son that I have today without the Hand in Hand tools. I have a kid with big feelings and big behaviors, and a personal history that made it very hard for me to hang in there with him. I love sharing these tools with parents and seeing how they bring families closer and help you be the people and parents you wish to be. I look forward to getting to know you and to sharing these wonderful tools with you. Please reach out with any questions!
