Aurora School: Come see our Middle School in action
We invite you to experience our academic program firsthand. Join us for an Academic Relay, a hands-on event designed to showcase some of the unique aspects that distinguish our academic program. The Academic Relay will take place Saturday, March 1, from 10am-noon at Aurora School, in Oakland's Upper Rockridge neighborhood. Space is limited, so list [at] auroraschool.org (please RSVP today) if you are interested in joining us, or have any questions.
This is more than a school tour—it’s an academic adventure! And after all that learning, join us for pizza and conversation to connect with teachers, students, and other families. In this engaging, fast-paced experience, students and parents will rotate through three dynamic 25-minute lessons:
- Humanities: Analyze a compelling primary source and uncover its historical or literary significance.
- Math: Tackle an algebra challenge that tests logic and problem-solving skills.
- STEM: Conduct an interactive experiment to identify mystery substances through chemical reactions and pH indicators.
At Aurora Middle School, we recognize that academic excellence and social-emotional awareness are deeply interconnected. Our students cultivate critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, to cultivate learners who are confident, analytical thinkers prepared to excel in high school and beyond.
