Inspire's outdoor day camps make learning fun for kids in grades K-5 in forests and nature preserves. Nature camp staff lead children ages 5-10 in nature exploration and connection, biology activities, environmental education, and outdoor education with hikes, storytimes, nature journaling, nature-inspired art, and outdoor play. Inspire's outdoor educators use emergent curriculum and experiential learning to open a wondrous door to the great outdoors as our living classroom.

- Oakland spring camp March 31-April 4 at Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park
- Cupertino/Los Altos Hills spring camp April 7-11 & April 14-18 at Rancho San Antonio County Park and Open Space Preserve
- Vacaville spring camp April 21-25 at Lagoon Valley Park
Summer Camp Job Openings:
- Vacaville summer camp in June at Lagoon Valley Park
- Oakland summer camps in June-July at Joaquin Miller Park and Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park
- Berkeley summer camps in June-July at Tilden Regional Park
- Cupertino/Los Altos Hills summer camp in July-August at Rancho San Antonio County Park and Open Space Preserve
Qualifications:
- The #1 quality in all of Inspire's employees is a passion for both teaching and learning, for the best educators are the best learners.
- At least 1 year experience teaching in K-5 level camps or equivalent experience.
- You are an adult (age 18+) with a minimum of a high school diploma.
- Experience hiking trails of moderate difficulty on hilly and uneven terrain up to approximately 6 miles per day.
- Must already possess unexpired CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must possess your own reliable transportation to nature camp sites.
- Demonstrate a fun and engaging leadership style with high energy, creativity, adaptability, spontaneity, dynamism, and positivity.
- Eco-conscious skills with a demonstrable love of nature and the outdoors, life sciences, biology, environmental science, outdoor education, or environmental education.
- Health-conscious skills with a demonstrable love of active and healthy living.
- Enthusiasm for making education relevant to children's lives.
- You are vegan as an ethical philosophy and compassionate lifestyle advocating for cruelty-free, positive alternatives to unnecessary animal exploitation for food, clothing, recreation, entertainment, household products, and the environment.

Compensation: $20-22/hr DOE
Classification: Non-exempt employee; seasonal; temporary. Successful hires may be invited to return for future seasons (camps are held in the summer, fall, winter, and spring!).
