Fathers' Forum: Therapist Facilitated Support Group For New Dads!
GREAT NEWS! WE OPENED A SECOND GROUP
Local men’s group for fathers of young children (Birth to 5 years old).
The focus of the Fathers’ Forum Men’s Group for Dads is to share and explore with a small group (limited to 7 dads) our hopes, aspirations and disappointments of being fathers.
Sharing the early years of parenthood with other men can be a great resource for men to better understand the journey of fatherhood, to help them discover their unfolding roles as fathers, and to get new perspectives on marriage and parenting.
- Date/Time: Twice a month on Thursdays (7:00-8:30PM)
- Duration: On-going (A commitment of 6 sessions is required after your first meeting)
- Location: Group alternates between online and in-person in West Berkeley
- Fee: $120 - Per month
Group size limited to 7 participants (a couple of spots available)
About Me and The Fathers' Forum:
I am a Berkeley therapist who works mainly with couples and men. I'm also a husband of 20 years and father of two teenage daughters who are getting ready to launch. I chose this particular time in my life to facilitate Fathers’ Forum because it gives me a chance to share what I have learned over my parenting journey and to provide a solid and dependable place for new fathers to connect, learn and grow.
Bruce Linton started this group over 25 years ago and continues to oversee the Fathers’ Forum program. As a facilitator, I am thrilled to ensure continuity and continue providing - “new dad help, a little dad advice, and a dad support group too.”
