East Bay German International School: Now Accepting Applications for 2025-2026

East Bay International High School (EBIHS) is a multilingual, college-preparatory high school offering the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP). We are one of only three high schools in the San Francisco Bay Area awarding the Bilingual IB Diploma to students completing language and literature studies in both English and a second language.

At EBIHS, we offer a rigorous academic program with a diverse international faculty and student body. Our small class sizes ensure individualized attention and personalized support for each student.

Academic Program Highlights:

• Bilingual IB Diploma: Students in grades 11 and 12 undertake the full IB Diploma Programme, with the option to pursue the Bilingual IB Diploma, awarded to just 25% of IB candidates globally.
• Multilingual Language Studies: No prior German knowledge is required. We offer courses in German, French, Spanish, and introductory Mandarin.
• Advanced Placement (AP): Students in grades 9 and 10 have access to AP courses, excelling in exams with an average score of 4.8 out of 5.
• AAPPL & Seal of Biliteracy: Students take language proficiency assessments and earn the Seal of Biliteracy, demonstrating their multilingual abilities.

EBIHS is accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
