There's a wonderful Facebook community named "Worldschoolers" that you can request to join. I've seen several posts mentioning homeschooling hubs in Guadalajara and vicinity, so you might be able to find connections there. Good luck!
I honestly would search for a fb group. There is an expat community in Guadalajara for sure. I don’t think it’s super big but it exists. I’ve considered Guadalajara but decided to live elsewhere.
I don't know anyone personally in Guadalajara, but have been exploring for a while where in Mexico to move to as well. There is a relocation guide with lots of free information online (videos etc) that I find extremely informative and well done. https://mexicorelocationguide.com/. I am also on several city specific fb groups for example, searching on something like "expats in Guadalajara" and seeing what comes up. I also moved out of country for 5 years when my daughter was 6 years old. Feel free to message me.
Hi Annie, I am intrigued by your post. My husband is originally from Guadalajara although he has lived in CA since 1995. We have visited many times to see his family and it's not a place I have ever considered moving - never crossed my mind. Are there a lot of American/expat families there? Have you been there before? Let me know if you have any specific questions I might be able to help with.
