Hey neighbors!

I’m Stephen, a local musician and producer offering guitar, electric bass, and piano lessons here in Berkeley. After years of serving this area, I’m excited to share that I now have a studio in the Berkeley Hills for in-person lessons and tutoring, just minutes from Indian Rock and Marin Circle.

With over 20 years of playing instruments and more than a decade as a producer and tutor, I bring a broad range of skills to my lessons, having worked with students of all ages and backgrounds. While rock and jazz have been my musical foundations, my production work has led me to explore many other geres, from hip-hop to classical. One of my favorite parts of teaching is learning from my students by crafting lessons around their interests (and keeping up with new music in the process!).
