Hello! My name is Marlee and I'm a graduate student at U.C. Berkeley pursuing my Master's in Social Work. I’m excited to offer tutoring sessions for middle and high schoolers! I would love to help your student in subjects such as English and History, and can assist with persisting through procrastination, writing and editing papers, improving organizational and study skills, and drafting college admissions essays.

I have several years of experience working with middle schoolers as both a camp counselor and tutor. I also worked with middle schoolers and high schoolers as a behavioral coach at a mental health treatment center where I supported teens with anxiety, ADHD, and other forms of neurodivergence, providing executive function coaching, social skills training, and helping students overcome perfectionism to complete their schoolwork. My tutoring approach is rooted in humor and positivity, and I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment to help students feel confident in their abilities.

I'm based in Oakland near the Rockridge and Temescal neighborhoods and would prefer to meet in-person at a location accessible by BART or bus. However, I’m also open to meeting via Zoom if that’s more convenient. My current rate is $25 an hour.

Please feel free to reach out via email or text with any questions! I look forward to connecting!
