Embracing Autism Collaborative Services: EACS is Now an RCEB Vendor for Social Groups

Embracing Autism Collaborative Services is thrilled to announce that we are now vendors of the regional center of the East Bay for our social groups!!

About our groups:

Our social groups are designed for autistic, ADHD and other neurodivergent children, although a diagnosis is not required to participate. Groups take place on site at our office on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland, CA and consist of 3-5 children with 1- 2 facilitators. We have 75 minute and 90 minute groups. We offer groups for children ages 3-15 years of age

.Children are not just by age or diagnosis but primarily based on interests and skills that are likely to elicit engagement and create friendships. 

We do not have a formal top down curriculum but curate activities that the children are naturally interested in to create organic opportunities for learning and practicing friendship skills.

In our groups we focus on confidence and self advocacy, social communication and problem solving, expanding play skills while also leaning in to special interests. We also work on helping children better understand and advocate for their sensory and emotional needs.
