About the Program:

Nanny Share Nursery serves children ages 0-3 years. We use Montessori play materials in both our classrooms and our staff have bachelor's degrees and extensive training in early care and education (ECE). We are within a large family child care home, and enroll children 6 weeks to 36 months old. We cap our enrollment at up to 4 infants under age 2 years, and up to 6 toddlers up to age 3 years. Each age group has a primary nanny and assistant, which keeps our ratio at or below 1:3. We provide all linens and diapers. Nanny Share Nursery is a project of Mama Director Rachel Bolden, who holds a BA in Social Studies and Spanish from Harvard, certificate in ECE from Las Positas College, and a CA teacher's permit.

My son’s child care called Nanny Share Nursery El Sobrante is amazing! The share is split by age (0-3) and there are three nannies working together at the house. This has been such a relief for me because I know my son is well cared for all day with a small group of children, it’s such a beautiful age appropriate space, AND the nannies also get to support each other with breaks and care. There is one nanny who cares for two infants and one nanny who cares for three toddlers. The rate is reasonable and there are flexible schedules Monday through Friday 8am/5pm. The hourly cost per child is $20 but that comes down to around $15 for a monthly commitment.

Also, the caregivers are so patient with my son’s transition. He would cry every time I walked away, but they reassured me that he’d be okay, and he was. He adjusted quickly. I was nervous about starting childcare, but this feels like home. It’s such a warm, welcoming, beautiful, calm and peaceful environment. There’s so much individualized attention and it never seems too busy. I highly recommend nanny share nursery for new parents. I receive photos that show me what he’s doing throughout each day and updates about feeding, diapers and his sleep using an app called Playground. The director leads screenings for developmental milestones which is so helpful.
