Thomas Munzar Personal Chef: Weekly Meal Prep

My name is Thomas, and I have been a cook in the Bay Area for over 8 years (I have worked at Penrose, Camino, Tartine, and Ramen Shop). I am now working as a private chef and, most recently, have started to offer meal prep services for families in the East Bay. I specialize in a wide range of cuisines, with an ethos of rustic, farm-to-table seasonal cooking. I am always up for a challenge to meet client needs and expand my cooking repertoire!
I work with clients on weekly menus depending on cuisine preferences and requests. Weekly meals typically include 4 main dishes and 2 veggie sides/snacks, which can be customized based on client preferences.
How it works:
- I take care of grocery shopping for meals
- I prepare meals at my own home
- I drop off meals in reusable containers on preset dates (typically recurring each week). To avoid waste and streamline reheating, I advise clients to purchase two sets (6 pc) of large glass tupperware that we can keep in rotation.
My weekly meal prep service starts at $250 (not including the price of groceries) with a $25 delivery fee. To cover expenses, I ask clients to Zelle or Venmo a $200 flat rate for groceries ahead of the meal prep. I send receipts and request reimbursement for the difference or deduct the surplus from my service fee. **Please note that the service fee and grocery deposit depend on family size.
