In Search of Stellar Podiatrist
I have ongoing issues with my feet related to my high arches, from some form of plantar fasciitis to sesamoiditis. It's becoming debilitating! Things haven't gotten better after seeing a family recommended podiatrist so I'm in search of a stellar podiatrist. While I'm not an athlete, I've been told that a sports-oriented podiatrist might be the right fit. Any suggestions would be appreciated! I'm in the Berkeley/El Cerrito area but happy to go elsewhere if needed.

Dr. Jenny Sanders has been an amazing foot doctor for me over 15 years. I love how seriously she takes mobility as part of whole health. Ive been recovering from foot surgery, and she's been great at helping me navigate the slow healing (in a way that the surgeon was not helpful in supporting).
I've recommended others to her, and they've all loved her. She's in SF (I'm now in Oakland), but super convenient to the Embarcadero BART stop and so worth it. Plus I've never had difficulty getting appointments.
I highly, HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jenny Sanders of Financial District Foot & Ankle Center. She's not in the East Bay, but she's very close to the Embarcadero BART station, so she's easy to reach from our side of the bay. She helped me through a horrible bout of plantar fasciitis and also helped me with a shoe fitting/orthotics when a bad pair of running shoes kicked off some serious knee pain. I cannot say enough good things about her and everyone who works in that practice! They are so responsive, universally friendly, run on time, communicate very clearly about costs/expectations... and she does have a strong focus on helping athletes, so you will never hear her tell you to downgrade your expectations. She will make it her mission to get you back to your desired level of activity. She is TERRIFIC. I have sent multiple friends to her over the 10+ years since I first saw her, and they all say the same. Good luck!
