Transmissions: Quilts for Trans Youth

Do you have a kid in your life who needs a quilt?

Transmissions is a project that makes quilts with and for trans people.

Quilts have been given as gifts to mark life transition across time and cultures. They help us see ourselves on longer time scales, which is something that many trans people can’t access easily.

This project takes youth through a multimedia collaborative process. They end up with a quilt that reminds them of the love and care that hold them.

*These quilts are paid for by grants from East Bay Heritage Quilters Guild and the City of Berkeley, as well as through commission fees for each quilt. We offer sliding scale. Your money goes towards paying trans artists and making quilts more affordable for others.
