Science is Elementary (SiE)

SiE seeks to effect systemic change in elementary science education by teaching students, training teachers, and engaging the scientific community. Our vision is that all children realize science is awesome and use its principles to better their lives. Now in our 10th year, SiE serves 6,000 students and 100 teachers in high-need elementary schools in Santa Clara, Mountain View, Redwood City, Milpitas, Oakland, and East Palo Alto/East Menlo Park (Ravenswood).

SiE provides elementary STEM educators to classrooms TK-5 to teach physics and engineering through small group, hands-on, student inquiry-driven experiments. SiE's educators team up with STEM professionals who are volunteers to facilitate the small group learning and build meaningful relationships with students.
