Redwood Bay

Redwood Bay is a Self-Directed Education (SDE) learning community for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color/Bodies of culture) children ages 6-12 located on unceded Ohlone land, now commonly known as Castro Valley, CA. We practice all of the optimizing conditions of SDE which include, includes access to unlimited free play, child autonomy, adults allies, community, free age mixing and access to tools of the culture.
