Primary care doctor who accepts Blue Shield insurance
Does anyone have recommendations for a primary care doctor in the East Bay who accepts Blue Shield? Qualities I'm hoping to find: woman, patient with answering questions without rushing, quick staff communication over an online portal for questions and lab requests, fairly easy to get appointment. Thank you in advance.

I’m sorry I don’t have a recommendation for you. I do want to say that in my doctor’s office there are several Nurse Practitioners. Because they are trained in the nursing care model, they can be good listeners. My current NP is so great (I’m not in the east bay.) She listens and responds super quickly in the online portal. I had originally seen a different NP who was rather abrupt. When I called to schedule my next appointment, I asked the receptionist who was the nicest provider. And I got connected to my current NP. All doctors in the Sutter Health Network take Blue Shield Insurance. My doctors (including primary care doctor) are in the Sutter Health Network many are in the Berkeley / Oakland / Castro Valley area and also includes Alta Bates and Eden Medical Center. I recommend my doctor Dr. Joythi Bachwani who specializes in Internal Medicine and is also a Primary Care Physician. Dr. Bachwani, a Sutter Health Physician takes Blue Shield Insurance.
