I would like to recommend my daughter's wonderful daycare provider, Ivone at Happy Kids Daycare. Ivone is a sweet, gentle Brazilian woman who speaks English and Portuguese. She is licensed. She has a pristine home that she has completely dedicated to her daycare. She has a playroom, a bedroom for cribs, and an eating room. She makes healthy homemade meals for the children. Most important, Ivone is a loving, attentive care provider who treats each child with special care. My daughter, who is 2, loves her dearly. An added bonus is that the children currently in the daycare are very well-behaved and sweet. All of the children have been there for a long term and as far as I know have plans to stay.

Ivone is located in El Cerrito, although I drive from Westbrae in Berkeley because it is worth it to me to have my daughter in the care of such a wonderful person.

Happy Children Daycare in El Cerrito has full-time openings for children 0-3. The daycare is run by Ivone, a woman from Brasil, so both English and Portuguese are spoken. I can't say enough about Ivone. My son has been with her for a year and he is very content. Ivone is loving, kind, understanding and very patient. She really cares about the kids she takes care of. Her home is immaculate, safe and comfortable. There is a large backyard for the kids to play in, a clean and cosy nap room, and 2 large inside rooms filled with educational toys. The entire facility is very clean. She washes her hands after every diaper change and makes sure the kids all wash their hands too. Ivone cooks healthy homemade meals for the kids. She will work with special diets too. She is especially good with babies. Going to Happy Children Daycare feels like home. It's a very nice,secure place to leave your child. My 16-month old daughter has been with Ivone for several months and we are thrilled. Ivone is a sweet, gentle Brazilian woman (with good English skills). Her daycare is licensed. Her home is bright, cheery, and pristine with multiple rooms and many toys and activities. She also has an outdoor area that she plans on using once weather permits her to fix it appropriately. She has recently moved from the Moraga area to El Cerrito and has openings. She is in El Cerrito, but I travel from West Berkeley to her home.
