Resources for a parent of a trans girl?
I’m a divorced mother of a 12 year old trans girl who is relatively early in her transition. I’ve been feeling a lack of community — can anyone recommend a group (formal, informal) where I could meet some other parents of trans kids? My kid is specifically concerned about how and where to play the sports she loves, so if anyone has thoughts on that, too, they’d be most welcome!

https://www.genderspectrum.org/ is a good place to start finding local resources
Highly recommend attending a local PFLAG group where you’ll meet other parents in similar situations. I attend a monthly meeting of the Oakland-East Bay chapter that meets @ St John’s near College Ave & Garber St. Meetings often have both an educational & support component. Resources are discussed. Lending library also available.

This group is based in Seattle but has virtual meetings. I attended when my daughter first transitioned and found it helpful. https://transfamilies.org/
Hi there, I'm not sure what grade your child is in, but Julia Morgan School for Girls on Mills campus in Oakland is truly a wonderful haven for girls and non-binary students who support their mission of empowering "girls" (they still use and want to use that terminology). They have summer programs you could look into if a school shift isn't what you're looking for. The school has active sports teams and great academics. If that's not a possibility, maybe they have recommendations for groups -- formal or informal -- for yourself and your girl.
What about PFLAG?

There is a group with a listserv that has an active community of members who offer advice and share experiences. The webpage is https://rainbowfamiliesbayarea.org and new members can join at https://rainbowfamiliesbayarea.org/contact/
I hope you get the support you are looking for.
You have received some great recommendations for resources here. I also wanted to let you know about an amazing camp for Trans kids that is held in Oakland each year called Camp Indigo. https://www.thecampindigo.org/
There are parent/guardian support groups on various topics each day after drop off and before pick up.
Camp Indigo was an amazingly transformative for my trans kid.and I.
