Urban Montessori Charter School in Oakland

Hi, my son has been attending since kindergarten, now in 2nd grade. The school opened their new campus on Steele after the pandemic. I was familiar with the campus being in my neighborhood, so I've advantage to find it most convenient! And dropoffs are quiet, smooth with friendly parents and teachers, especially for TK-K greetings at the front door. We love it and participate in fundraisers and volunteer because the staff are worth supporting. There's even a coffee meetup occasionally, where we find more happenings, ie: group kid-sitting or classes at a local yoga studio. My kid is excelling in learning, I mean all subjects. From his own mouth, he loves school. There's no homework, so we take time to listen to our proud son's presentation of work he brings home. This school is impressive, from diverse teachers and students, teaching methods (we are new to Montessori style), accessible tools, to beautiful classrooms--we really scored! They even have class pets! Also, my kid loves the after-school care program that's offered on campus.
