Our contractor, M 7.24 Builders (Henry is the owner) did our bathroom and kitchen tiles when we did a bigger renovation and did a great job.
I recently hired John Ilie from Bay Full Construction (Contractor Lic. # 1099771) in May 2023 for what was supposed to be a complete house renovation, including tiling all the floors and bathroom, electrical work, and a complete bathroom remodel. We moved out for six weeks during this renovation. Regrettably, the experience has been nothing short of a disaster.
In the beginning it started out fine, but then towards the end, when it came to the bathroom remodel it was evident that professionalism and quality workmanship were lacking. He rushed the job because he had another job in Layfette to finish before he flew to Romania for two months.
The quality of work was shockingly subpar. The tiles are uneven, electrical outlets were faulty, and the bathroom, which was supposed to be a sanctuary, required us to hire another tiler and plumber to access the “leaking shower behind the wall” before we had moved in. The bathtub pipes underneath the house leaked. It's clear that corners were cut at every turn, and no attention to detail was given.
Attempts to address these issues with John were met with excuses and a complete lack of accountability. It's disheartening to see a contractor who showed such promise in the beginning turn out to be so unprofessional and unreliable.
I urge anyone considering hiring Bay Full Construction (Ilie Family) to proceed with extreme caution. Learn from my unfortunate experience and seek out reputable, trustworthy contractors who value their clients and take pride in their work. This has been a costly lesson, and I hope this review serves as a warning to others.
After our nightmare, I discovered that in March 2023, a previous client submitted a claim against the Ilie Family with the same address of John Ilie of Bay Full Construction but under a different company’s name (Contractor Lic. #1034311) with the California Contractors License Board. Four violations are listed. Unfortunately, I didn’t find this out before I hired the Mr. Ilie of Bay Full Construction.
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your renovation needs. This has been a nightmare I wouldn't wish upon anyone. A complaint was also filed with the Contractor State License Board.
