Hello! My name is Natalie Canellas, and I am an experienced elementary classroom teacher in Oakland. I graduated in 2020 from the University of Florida with degrees in Spanish and Community Sciences, and I hold a Masters of Education with a focus on Social Emotional Learning from National University. I implement a multi-sensory approach that is supportive of all types of learners in the format of individualized tutoring sessions in all subjects. My practice includes instruction for early elementary literacy, reading and math intervention as well as upper elementary literacy and math tutoring. I can also assist high school students with college essays and SAT Prep, and I can offer Spanish tutoring to all ages, as well as English learner instruction. I believe students should be challenged rigorously academically and encouraged to celebrate joyfully in their successes. 

I am offering virtual sessions via Zoom as well as in-person instruction. My preference would be Mondays -Thursdays after school hours. References can be made available upon request. I would love to discuss your student's learning needs further and look forward to hearing from you! Thank you!
