Caring for children ages 10m to 5 years
My son has only been with Manar for 2 months, but it's obvious she absolutely adores him. He started when he just turned 1. He is a very particular baby, with bottles, naps, etc. and she did everything she could to meet him exactly where he was comfortable, while also managing the other kids' needs. She isn't a super warm person when you first meet her, it's just her personality, but she will instantly do what she can to unconditionally love and care for your kid. I will be sad when he goes to preschool. They go to the park almost everyday, she makes food from scratch (being very careful on my son's egg allergy), and the care is very affordable. Highly recommended!
I will forever be grateful for the care my daughter Ada received while at Manar’s daycare (2021-2023). It’s on a sweet quiet street in South Berkeley, walking distance to several playgrounds. Every single morning my daughter dove straight into her arms and hugged her. I know my daughter felt safe and loved at Little Stars, which is all I wanted!!! Manar is patient, kind, and just what we needed. When my baby was 5 months old, she slept on Manar for every nap. Eventually Manar taught her to nap in the crib and fall asleep independently. This is a daycare with lots of love, one on one attention, home cooked meals (lots of avocados from her tree), and lots of outside time. If you go to Little Stars, your baby will be well cared for and you won’t go completely broke (thank you Manar for keeping the cost low). I am forever grateful.
Try Little Stars on Stuart Street in Berkeley. Manar is great, and I think she will have space in August/October.
My son attended Manar's daycare for about a year starting at 11 months old and we were very happy with his care. She has a large indoor play space and a huge backyard which my son loved. It was my son's first daycare experience and I was impressed that he took to her and to the other kids right away. He hardly ever got upset at drop off, in fact he was excited to go. I think that demonstrates how welcoming her and her space is. She was also instrumental in helping him through a lot of developmental milestones (learning to walk, talk, feed himself, try new foods, transition from bottle to sippy cup, etc.). Her wonderful and sweet daughters were often around when they weren't in school and also helped with the kids. My son loved her daughters as well they were like big sisters. I highly recommend Manar!
My daughter Maia spent almost 3 years in the care of Manar. She always loved to go there. Manar is a very good person, with a lot of love and more patience i could ever have!! The kids would play in her big yard, go to the park or play inside the house. Manar would provide very healthy meals (lots of veggies and fruits) and can help with potty training.
She would also take care of my older daughter who's on the autism spectrum (5 years old) sometimes. She is a natural!
I highly recommend Manar and the little stars!!
Both my kids have been attending Little Stars. First my son started when he was 6 months old and stayed there until he was three. Then my daughter joined her brother when she was 6 months old. I am so thankful I was able to find Manar who has been providing for them lots of attention, care, love, food and learning experiences. Both my kids love Manar and of course her delightful, kind and so well educated daughters. If you have questions, please feel free to call me: 415.702.7529.
