Good moving company for SF to Oak move
Hi guys!
We are moving from SF to Oakland next month and need to find good movers. We had a not so great experience last time so I wanted to get suggestions from others this time. :)
thanks!

OCD Moving Services. We used them in May - admittedly to pack our house into a Pod rather than to complete the whole move - and they were amazing. There were four guys and every one of them was golden. That's a first in my experience. They were very efficient, friendly and professional. When we unpacked on the other end of our cross-country move, every box was clearly labeled and not one thing was broken. Amazing.
I had a fantastic experience with Hauling Moses. Our neighbor used them at our recommendation and felt the same. They were quick and efficient, on time, and nothing broke.
We used Jay’s Small Moves about two years ago to move to Oakland from our SF apartment, and they were fantastic (https://yelp.to/6rPYfLYqvtb). Prompt, efficient, respectful, positive — really great to work with. I particularly appreciated that, as I was the one who hired them, they treated me as the client the entire time (and not my husband). They did an excellent job and I would absolutely hire them again!
We used West Coast Moving for a move from Albany to El Cerrito this summer. They did a fantastic job. Mary Lynn was the contact, and the moving team was careful and professional for a *heavy* household.

Sweet Lemon Moving Service. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=sweet+lemon+moving+company I used them this summer for a move from SF to Mountain View. Found their name here on BPN. They were wonderful and did exactly as they said. SO EASY to deal with. They get paid by the hour, no hidden fees. Affordable. Easy. I think you'll have 2 choices, a smaller truck with 2 movers or a bigger truck with 3. They work hard and get things done but are careful.
We moved just a studio apartment and the entire thing was done in 3 hours - loading in SF, driving and unloading. I will never use another service after seeing that moving can actually be stress free. But they don't pack (however if you need someone to help back, even if your place feels like a disaster, I know of someone great. He also has a van so can do small moves. I don't have permission to give his phone number but if you need someone, write another BPN question and I can reply).
We have used Ontrack moving ( http://www.ontrackmoving.com/ ) twice in the past two years. They may not be the cheapest, but I think reasonable for the quality of service they provide. The best part is you can decide what works best for you, a 2-person team or a 4-person team if you want it done quicker.
I can recommend AGAINST a particular moving company: OCD Movers. We were happy with their services on the day of the move, but unfortunately suffered subsequent credit card fraud on the card we used with them. I don't make these kinds of accusations lightly, but it was the ONLY time I used that particular card (like, in years, both before and after the move) and the fraudulent charges started up within the next few weeks. I really can't see how my credit card number would have gotten out from anyone but them.
Another vote for Sweet Lemon. We moved a 2 bed house within Berkeley earlier this year. They were on time, worked quickly, handled things carefully, figured out how to get awkward shaped things into different rooms.
