Community SubscriberMeyerson Education Services helps students develop the academic skills and confidence they need to be successful and independent learners. We offer a full suite of in-person and online services to help students grow their skills, feel confident in their abilities, and develop strategies that allow them to surmount challenges, including: one-on-one academic coaching, executive functioning coaching, and subject area tutoring.
Subject Areas: reading, writing, history, math, science, Spanish and French.
We partner with students’ families and schools. We track student assignments and liaise with schools, and advocate for students to ensure they get the support they need. We update everyone regularly about the strategies we are using, student successes, challenges, and areas for follow-up.
I don't have words for how amazing Miranda was for our now rising 5th grader. She's been supporting our kid since he was in 1st grade, during the pandemic, and through the beginning of 4th grade. She quickly earned the adoration of our kid, and honed in his challenges from a holistic and integrative "whole kid" perspective. While he was showing issues in both math and writing, what he needed in either case were tools - and I was amazed that she could show him how to leverage the same tool between the different subjects. I loved listening to the other room as he laughed with her, and shared (with excitement) what was improving for him at school. He looked forward to his sessions with her almost as much as a play date.
She coordinated effectively with his teachers (they loved her, too!), communicated & strategized extremeley well with us, and knew when to "fire" herself as our kid was ready to move on. Our kid is thriving now, and we credit Miranda with really helping him love the learner inside of him.
Miranda is a life saver! She has been working with my high schooler (who has ADHD) for over 2 years now and she has made a world of difference. Miranda teaches concrete executive functioning skills in a pragmatic and effective way. It is so rewarding to see my son apply these skills outside of their sessions together and it has changed the way he engages with school and learning. Working with Miranda has also helped ease family friction around homework and organization. It’s a welcome relief to know that Miranda is actively teaching my son how to manage these things himself without parental nagging. Even on days when he is tired, my son always comments on how valuable his time with Miranda is and how much he learns from her. I will also share that my son previously tried group executive functioning classes but none were as impactful as consistent one-on-one tutoring. We are so grateful for Miranda’s amazing support and coaching.
My 4th grade son has been working with Miranda for the past 10 months on executive functioning skills and academic coaching. Miranda was able to immediately connect with him and meet him where he was. She is warm, kind and is adaptable to any mood or level of focus he has that day. He always looks forward to their weekly sessions!
She has truly helped improve his organizational skills and writing ability (previously a non-preferred task for him). She has also helped interface with his teachers and school (independent east bay school) in a way that has really benefited him. Additionally, she was able to help me navigate what accommodations to ask for when he was first diagnosed with ADHD.
I highly recommend Meyerson Education services. Miranda has really been a game-changer for my son this past year!
Working with Miranda has been a game-changer for my 7th grader at Willard. Miranda was warm and was immediately able to connect with my daughter. Kid was struggling with organization and we were all getting more tense. Miranda's expertise in executive function coaching has led to noticeable improvements in my child's organizational skills and study habits. Miranda is not only highly skilled but also genuinely cares about their students' success- she has talked me off a cliff multiple times, helped me understand my kid better, helped us connect with our kid's teachers in effective ways, and found systems that worked for all of us. She went through a lot of trial and error with us with grace and patience. I highly recommend Miranda for anyone looking for a dedicated, kind, relatable, and highly effective coach. Thanks Miranda!
