Have fun, learn a lot, and make new friends this summer! Camp is about giving kids a place and time to dream about the amazing people they will become. Each week campers try on a new identity as doctors, lawyers, writers, engineers, inventors, and broadcasters. Through our fun and innovative curriculum, students participate in daily fun and activities that create a strong, silly, and supportive camp community. Each location will have programs specific to 1st-2nd graders, 3rd-4th graders, and 5th-6th graders. Our curriculum runs from 9AM to 3PM, and we offer extended care from 8AM to 5:30PM.  Visit campbrainybunch.com!

  • Summer Camp Brainy Bunch?

    May 8, 2019

    Hello BPN,

We are considering the Extraordinary Engineers summer camp at Camp Brainy Bunch this Summer for our 2 boys (5 and 7 years old). Is anyone familiar with the camps offered by Camp Brainy Bunch, and would recommend one specific location? we could do Oakland or Orinda. Please share your or your child's feedback.

    Thank you very much!

My kid loved her time at this camp!  She did broadcasting week at the Albany location.  She came home every night excited to share her broadcasts she wrote and filmed in front of the green screen.  She loved it because she had a ton of fun and it allowed her to be creative and make new friends.  The teachers were amazing and welcoming and went of their way to make sure everyone felt welcome and had fun.  I loved it because she got to practice her writing and public speaking skills (learning in summer!) and it didn't feel like the dreaded "school work" to her.  The included healthy catered lunches were awesome - no packing lunch.  Lastly, I loved how unique the theme and content are - there aren't really any summer camps like this one in our area.  I highly recommend this camp.

RE: Affordable Summer Art Camps in Oakland

I'm not familiar with Studio One, but have had a great experience with Camp Brainy Bunch. Their website is www.campbrainybunch.com. They do a series of 4 weeks of Creative Writing, Public Speaking, Leadership and Engineering. You can do a single week, two, three or all four. The camps are hands on and the kids actually learn while having fun. The Public Speaking for the 4th to 6th graders, for example, is called Fairy Tale Mock Trial. The kids put fairytales on trial and in the process learn about public speaking, debate, logic/reasoning. The kids dress up in costumes and play the different roles in the courtroom. My kids loved the camp and the staff. I loved that I felt safe leaving them, they learned and that the camps are kept small so they got plenty of attention. They even include lunch from Whole Foods each day. There is a generous multi-camp discount too. There are two age groupings 1-3rd and 4th-6th. Emily W
