My name is Andrew Laubacher and I'm a drum instructor in the Bay Area. I am a working musician with over 20 years experience performing and teaching music.  I studied music at Boston University before moving to the bay area. I can make house calls or teach out of my studio in Oakland. I have a lot of experience with beginner, intermediate, and advanced drummers. My students range in age from 5-62, so I understand the different approaches it takes to keep someone interested and motivated at different levels of learning as well as skill.

I believe learning an instrument should be fun, and because of this, I try and engage my students with exciting exercises that also teach the fundamentals of the instrument. I want my students to become good MUSICIANS, not just good drummers! I charge $65/hour for lessons at my studio and $80/hour for house calls.
