I am looking for recommendations on reasonable priced prescription lens for my current frames.  I love them.  I don't want new frames, and I realize that they may be damaged (every optometrist location has told me) when they try to fit new lens in older frames.  All the boutique places seem extremely expensive and places like costco feels like they won't even try to be careful.  I can't be the only person who doesn't get new frames every time their prescription changes.  Please help! Thanks in advance...

I brought old frames into the optical shop at Kaiser in Oakland. They did a fine job and seemed to be reasonably priced.

Getting sunglasses repaired

2001

Ray Ban sunglasses - I have 2 pair that are no longer under warranty but I think they are repairable. Anyone know of a local place that would do this? Kate

Any optometric/optical office should be able to repair your Ray Bans (if repairable). If you are unable to locate an office, call the manufacturer, Luxottica, for a referral. (800) 422-2020. T.

Repair for rayban sunglasses: I would recommend sending them back to the manufacturer even though the warranty is up. I have a friend who did this and received a new pair from rayban anyway! Also, they can do the repairs even if they charge you a little. Janet
