I'm in need of a good, honest independent Lexus auto mechanic. Preferably in Lamorinda area. Thanks in advance for your recommendations/referrals. Susan

The Service Outlet in Lafayette has been doing terrific work on our Lexus for many years. Brian Bartle, their Manager, is wonderful- very honest and ethical. They are prompt with their work and it is usually pretty easy to get an appointment. They also let you drop off after hours which is nice and they have a shuttle if you need a ride. 3340 Mt. Lexus repair shop in Oakland?

I have a Lexus that is no longer under warranty, and am looking for an independent (non-dealer) shop to do basic maintenance. Can anyone make a recommendation? Oddly, there is very little information on this site about Lexus. (Tellingly, there is much about Volvo, but that is another story...) Tom

Try Oakland Auto Works 510-597-8388 on McArthur near Piedomont. We take our Lexus there and I've been very happy with the quality of their work and their honesty. They also have a driver on-hand who will take you where you need to go and pick you up when your car is ready. I live in the hills and love that service! Reva

Does anyone know of a good independent mechanic who works on Lexus? We have been using the Model Garage with great results for our Toyotas, but they do not work on Lexus. We live in Oakland; anything in the immediate east bay area would be great. Thanks! Barbara
