Insurance for Laptops

Insurance for laptops for kids in College

My daughter is off to College. I read about this companies that provide insurance for personal property like laptops, cell phones, etc. Can anybody recommend a specific company? Any experience using them? Should I cancel her insurance for her Iphone, if this is cover in the insurance I will get? Thanks!

I researched the same and we went with Student Insurance Partners (www.studentinsurancepartners.com). I called instead of applying online. I had too many questions. I originally wanted a policy to cover only the laptop, but got a better policy that covers up to $2500 worth of all my son's possessions, including laptop, TV, iphone, clothing, etc. And besides theft, it also covers accidental damage. With a $100 deductible, the annual premium was only $69. Anon
