Hi, Looking for hearty recommendations for either or all of the following, preferably in Oakland/Alameda/San Leandro area:
- African-American FEMALE pediatrician for my 2yo. Seeking someone who is a traditional western physician but is open to alternative medicine and is totally cool with the family bed. Looking for a lifetime relationship with a loving person who can be a positive African-American female role model for my biracial daughter
- African-American Male or Female pediatric/adult dentist
- African-American FEMALE general practitioner Kim

Dr. Denise Davis is a phenomenal primary care doctor who is African-American. She is located in Berkeley near Whole Foods; her # is 510-883-1046. I worked for Dr. Davis for three years, and then became her patient, and have experienced firsthand the degree of competency and care that she provides to every patient. Happy with my doctor

I recommend Avis Logan at North Oakland Family Practice . My primary care doc is affiliated with this practice, and I've seen Dr. Logan a few times over the years. She always seems accessible, compassionate, and thorough. The practice is well-run, too. JM
