I can recommend Arlene Keller, MD, in San Francisco. She's my primary care doctor. She's affiliated with CPMC and is located at 2100 Webster Street. Call at (415) 923-3598. She's very knowledgable and has a good bedside manner, but is efficient and doesn't waste your time. She also pays attention to preventive practices and screenings. Her practice (and thus the waiting room) can be busy, but I have never waited long and when I have been ill, I have been able to get a same-day or next-day appointment. I am a nurse practitioner and my husband is a physician -- we can be tough customers, and we like different styles in a health care provider. But Dr. Keller has worked out well for both of us. Shannon
