I can heartily recommend Gene Estrella, at Today's Rave hair studio on Solano Avenue (near the top). His number is 524-0991. He is fantastic with coloring, cutting, and perming -- he's done them all for me and my family for more than 13 years. Nothing primadonna'ish about him, but he's very nice and extremely competent.
