I have seen Rachel with preschool age kids and have attended her small group parenting workshop when my kid was in preschool.
She is a warm, radiant, and truly empathetic person. She has a young child of her own and draws upon her experience as a parent and she has worked with many kids and families.
I found tips and tricks from her workshop helpful. If you are struggling with parenting kids aged 0-9 in particular, I recommend her. For other mental health needs, I think she will be a great help based on my experience and observation but I don’t have direct experience with her outside the context of parenting coaching.
Lovely, empathetic, realistic, professional, funny, goal oriented, and helpful are all words that come to mind thinking about Rachel. We worked short term with her during a very difficult transition for my toddler when we brought our second home—I still have some of the post it’s she so kindly wrote up for me as I was trying to juggle nursing a fussy infant and learning ways to help my toddler. We were very appreciative of her help during that challenging time for our family.
My husband and I have been working with Rachel as a parenting coach for several years now (kid is now 14), we didnt really know what we're doing as parents, son is a typical kid, which was good to hear, the issues were ours. We used to check in with her every few months, then 6 months, then yearly. She's fantastic! A great listener, with helpful suggestions and ideas. It was so nice to talk things out with a neutral, smart, kind, funny professional 3rd party. I highly recommend working with her.
