Crestmont Summer Camp
Community SubscriberSummer should be a time to make new friends, pursue interests, and play in the great outdoors. In fact, having time to play is essential to a child’s healthy growth. That’s why Crestmont incorporates plenty of free-play alongside organized, teacher-led activities in our summer camp. Campers will spend their days on our beautiful, 1+ acre campus with plenty of green space, trees, comfortable classrooms, and tinkering space.
Summer camp will follow in the Crestmont tradition of giving children exceptional teachers, inspiring activities, and plenty of room to move and grow — all close to home and at a reasonable price.

My daughter is a student at Crestmont and absolutely loves it. She'll be attending all four weeks of Crestmont summer camp this year and we are really excited. It's run by the staff who run the Crestmont aftercare program, which my daughter has attended all year, and the staff are fantastic. They do fun, hands-on activities, and the kids have a great balance of offered activities and free-play time. I love that it's mixed age - my daughter plays with other Kindergarteners and older kids alike, and the older kids are very sweet and helpful with the younger ones. My daughter is always engaged and happy when I get there for pickup - her only complaint is not wanting to leave! There is plenty of supervision to keep everyone safe, and the kids have plenty of space to run around and play independently. Drop-off and pick-up are seamless, parking is convenient, and it's always easy to grab a staff member if you have any questions or need a hand. Crestmont is like a big extended family, and we are so excited for our first of many years of their summer camp.
Crestmont School runs 4 weeks of full-day summer camp, and it is 8-6 with the extended care. The kids and teachers are great -- my daughter loves it. Crestmont is located two minutes from off of I-80 in the RIchmond Hills. I also appreciate the fact that there is plenty of parking, so I don't have to struggle at drop off or pickup. Feel free to message me if you have questions.

RE: One-week camp for a 5-year-old?
Crestmont Summer Camp (www.crestmontcamp.org) accepts rising kindergarteners. There are six one-week camps between June 27 and August 5th, with a different theme and specialty teacher each week. My daughter went before entering kindergarten and loved it. The staff does a good job of balancing teacher-led activities with open play, and because the camp is housed on the campus of Crestmont School, there's a lot of indoor and outdoor space kids can use. Crestmont Camp is located in the Richmond Hills, which might be a little out of the way for you, but it's close to the I-80 and has great parking, which makes it a pretty fast drop-off and pick-up spot. Happy Crestmont Camper
